How do I record a message?

Contributors can record from a phone, computer, or tablet using a private recording page. No apps or downloads are required.

We can also accommodate pre-recorded voice memos by email. If anyone runs into questions, we’re always here to help.

Can contributors listen to their message after recording?

Accepted Answer

Yes. There’s an option to listen back and re-record if needed. You can play your message before submitting and try again if you’d like. Tap the play button on the Recording Tool to listen to your message. There’s no pressure to get it perfect the first time.

How can I sound good when I record?

Most people feel unsure hearing their recorded voice at first. That’s completely normal. A few things you can count on:

You sound better than you think.
The prompts are designed to make sharing easy and meaningful.
Each message is carefully edited so it flows naturally.

What matters most is being present. They'll want to hear you.

How long should each message be?

Most messages are around one to two minutes. Short and heartfelt works beautifully. There’s no need to overthink it. A few sincere words often mean more than a long speech.

How many people usually contribute?

Some people can name twenty people right away. Others think of five and know that’s enough.

There isn’t a right number. What counts is hearing from the people they love.

What’s a good occasion for a TreasureMint gift?

TreasureMints are often created for milestones: birthdays, graduations, retirements, anniversaries, and memorials. They’re also meaningful for holidays or simply as a surprise.

How do I invite contributors?

After checkout, you’ll answer a few short questions. Then you’ll receive a personalized invitation you can send by email or text. Everyone is directed to a private page created just for your gift.

How long does it take to create a TreasureMint?

Most gifts are completed within four weeks of purchase. Gathering the messages is usually what takes the longest. Once they’re received, the final edit is turned around quickly.

You can also order early. Delivery can be scheduled up to one year ahead.

What if someone misses the deadline?

Life happens. Gentle reminders are sent, but sometimes not everyone is able to record in time.

If your delivery date is flexible, we can often extend the window. If it isn’t, the gift can still be completed with the messages received. And if someone is essential, we’ll work together to find the best solution.

Can I listen before it’s delivered?

Yes. You’ll have access to the private page and can preview the gift before it’s shared. Changes typically aren’t made at that stage, and it’s kindly requested that the gift remain private until the recipient has listened.

After that, it’s entirely their choice whether to share it more widely.

Yes. The private page includes an option to download the audio so it can be kept forever.

Is my message private?

Yes. Only your editor hears individual recordings before the final gift is created. Contributors cannot access other messages unless the recipient chooses to share the finished audio.

Physical ceremony packages ship within the continental United States. Digital gifts can be delivered anywhere in the world.
